FAQS

Frequently Asked Questions

We don’t want to put too many ‘rules’ in place. Your piece may be a poem of a few lines, it may be micro-fiction of a couple of hundred words, or it might be up to 10,000 words.
Your preferred style may be fiction, non-fiction, poetry, or essay. Again, it must respond to the themes of LOSS and BELONGING.
No, this is an opportunity to share your story in your voice rather than keeping it to yourself. We believe that having the chance to share your story and your experiences with the world is a wonderful and important thing to do and, as an act of sharing, helps to build bonds of friendship and understanding.
Selected pieces will be edited by professional writers and editors, whose job it is to help guide you through the sometimes difficult and challenging process of preparing and refining work for publication.
No, not at all. We are a non-profit literature development organisation. Our passion and our reason for being is to support people to tell their own stories in their own voices.
Your writing and your story are still yours. The design of the publication is copyright, but your words remain yours.
Of course. You may wish to have no name listed, or use a pen-name. We don’t want to cause anxiety – we want you to experience the thrill of publishing your story.
