At the recent African Australian Multicultural Celebration, the African Australian Advocacy Centre (AAAC) proudly presented the Outstanding Contribution to the Advancement of African Australians Awards, recognising exceptional leadership, advocacy, and partnership.

Outstanding Individual Award – A/Prof. David Mickler
Awarded to an individual from the non-African community whose visionary leadership, passionate advocacy, and enduring dedication have elevated the voices, well-being, and opportunities of African Australians. A/Prof. Mickler exemplifies excellence in community empowerment and social impact.

Outstanding Stakeholder Award – Curtin University
Presented to a distinguished stakeholder whose visionary leadership, steadfast advocacy, and unwavering commitment have significantly advanced the rights, well-being, and representation of African Australians. Curtin University is recognised for its dedication to community empowerment, collaborative partnership, and impactful social change.
